If one decides to work in the operating they have to be able to be a people person because they will be working very closely with everyone in the operating room, especially the surgeon, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at things.
You could be one of the nurses who gets the blessing of being on-call. Being on-call can be good some days and bad other days, it just all depends. The money you make from being on-call is great, but if your scheduled to work after you've been called in, it can be torture.
The operating room is a closed area and everyone considers eachother family, which tends to be a good thing. Unfortunately sometimes you have personalities that clash, and people can get annoying and their is no escape.
The best part in my opinion is getting to see all te procedures. Not to mention everytime you steo foot in the operating room you are walking into a chance to learn something.

With quick thinking and steady hands the nurses assist the doctor in a surgery.
